Mind & Body (Field Day) was organized on 23 April 2015 where children exercised brain and brawn in puzzle solving and fun races.

FUN WITH SUNGLASSES
To protect our little ones from the scorching heat and to develop the habit of wearing sunglasses, an exciting and stylish field activity ‘Fun with sunglasses’ race was organized. Our sports stars dressed up in sparkling white dresses with trendy sunglasses looked adorable on the tracks.

TONGUE TICKLERS ACTIVITY
Students prepared sprouted green gram salad, rainforest yogurt, cucumber fantasy during Tongue Ticklers – Cooking without fire event.

SUMMER CAMP
Summer coaching camp was organised from 18 to 30 May, 2015 in association with PTA. Students were coached and trained in Badminton, Cricket, Skating, Football, Lawn Tennis and Rope Skipping under expert tutelage. Participants were given certificates of appreciation for active involvement.

DHOOM 2015
Dhoom-a mega talent hunt was organised from May 1 to 8, 2015. A slew of competitions in varied fields, like art and craft; skipping; dramatics; elocution; mathematics; sports; dance and music, provided an unparalleled platform to chisel talent of Bal Bharatians. The students participated in Dhoom with great fervour and exhibited an exquisite melange of creativity. The parents too felt at home while participating along with their children in popular events like ‘Super chef’ and ‘Cute kids’. The jury applauded the multitalented students and the school for cultivating the niche as a holy ground that breeds excellence.

TECH QUEST 2015
The school organized Tech Quest- an inter school competition on 12 May 2015 to provide a platform for technical ingenuity of young prodigies. The event witnessed young geniuses from fifteen schools of Delhi, displaying technical acumen and brilliance. The participants vied in various competitions such as Lights! Camera! Action!, Let’s C!, Quiz and Robotics. An eminent panel of judges awarded the winners.

BBPS MUN 2015
Inter School Model United Nation was organized on 30 April 2015 wherein 16 prestigious schools participated eagerly. The endeavour chiselled public speaking, critical thinking, leadership abilities and promoted research among students. It was a simulation of United Nations and the students learnt about international relations and conflict resolutions. The event delved deep into the operations of four committees- IAEA, CND, CON and LOAS of UN. Chief Guest Mr. Dhirendra Bhatnagar, Secretary CUCAI encouraged the participants with his invigorating speech. Trophies and certificates were awarded to the winners. The event was a great success.

ORIENTATION DAY
‘A journey of a thousand miles begins with a small step’. The school celebrated the Orientation Day with great enthusiasm to invigorate the parents of our adorable new members. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by the welcome address by the Principal. The spectacular Invocation Dances ‘Trinetra’ and ‘Mangalacharan’ left the audience spellbound. The guests for the occasion conducted an interactive session which indeed proved to be quite enriching & informative.

MONTESSORI GRADUATION DAY
"Life unfolds a new chapter with each new step. We harness learning, accumulate experience at every stage and graduate to the next level".
The sparkling and spirited life in Montessori Department was showcased when Graduation Day was celebrated with grandeur extraordinaire. The programme began with the release of balloons as a mark of Bal Bharatians soaring high followed by invocation dance- My Friend Ganesha. A melange of impeccable dance performances by our little stars left the audience spellbound. Our children wove magic with their melodious voice when they sung Graduation Day song. In a blaze of glitz and glory, the programme ended with Grand Finale.

MOCK EVACUATION DRILL
For disaster preparedness, a mock evacuation drill was conducted on February 18, 2015. There was a live demonstration of the use of the fire extinguishers and mitigation measures by Delhi Fire Service Department. The students were given an opportunity to handle the fire extinguishers in case of any emergency. All classes from I to XI along with the entire staff took part in the evacuation drill.

CHINESE DELEGATION
On February 09, 2015, a delegation of 11 teachers and 17 students from Fengtai Children’s Art School, China visited the school for cultural exchange programme. The visit marked cultural immersion through enchanting performing and aesthetic arts. The auspicious Ganpati Dance and invigorating folk dances and music performances enraptured the Chinese companions. The guests also displayed oriental gyrations and soulful tunes to exalt the senses. Though diverse in nature, we felt a unique bond that united us.

MEGA SI-DONYI FESTIVAL
Our Music teachers Mr Saptarishi Mondal, Mr Arvind Kr. Pandey and Mr Jung Bdr Gurung, were invited by Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh to perform in Mega Si-Donyi Music Festival on January 5, 2015 at Daporijo, Arunachal Pradesh. The event aimed at promotion of rich cultural heritage of north eastern states of India.

COSTUME PARADE
In an effort to foster a sense of love and conservation for aquatic life, Costume Parade was organized on January 29, 2015 where children came dressed up as aquatic animal and enjoyed ‘Aqua’ activities and their favourite movie Finding Nemo.

SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN
Students of Interact Club organised a cleanliness drive around the slum cluster and metro station near the school. They spread awareness about the importance of clean environment around us by presenting a ‘Nukkad Natak’ as part of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.”

ALL-INDIA INTER-UNIT SPORTS MEET
The School hosted the Eighth All India Inter-Unit Bal Bharati Sports Meet 2014 from Oct 29 to 31, 2014, which brought together students from 18 branches across the country. An endeavour of CES Sports Council, the meet was graced by L R Channa, President, Child Education Society and Chairman, Sports Council, luminaries from the Board of Management and principals from all units.

CBSE REGIONAL LEVEL SCIENCE EXHIBITION–2014
The School hosted Regional Level CBSE Science Exhibition from July 14-17, 2014 which witnessed massive participation of 98 schools. The exhibition, themed 'Scientific and Mathematical Innovations', created awareness about environmental issues. 141 exhibits were displayed on five sub-themes namely Agriculture, Health, Energy, Resources and Environment. 20 exemplary exhibits were selected for National Level Exhibition which included the school team presentation on ‘Resource Efficient City’.
The School’s presentation ‘Resource Efficient City’ was selected for CBSE National Level Science Exhibition.

Interact Club Investiture
4th Investiture Ceremony of the Interact Club was held on 3rd September, 2014. Newly inducted members of Interact Club Executive Board took the oath of abiding by Rotary’s 4 way test in all their actions. The chief guests Rotarian Indu Chopra and Rotarian Sandhya Sagar invested them with their badges of honour and responsibility. The outgoing Interact Club Secretary, read the annual report of club activities and released the Annual Newsletter.

PM’s Interaction with Students on Teachers’ Day
The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India interacted with school children on Teachers' Day through satellite link which was viewed by children at school. The Prime Minister motivated students by sharing personal experiences and -answered queries with characteristic wit and humour.

Inter School Robotics Challenge(IRC 2013-14)
A grand celebration of innovation and ingenuity was witnessed during the Inter-School Robotics Challenge 2013 which was organised in association with Building Blocks Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd. on December 24, 2013. Over 42 teams from 20 schools of West Delhi participated in the events such as Rescue on Mountains (IV-VII), Rescue on Mountains and on Rivers (VIII-IX) and Self-Learning Rescue Robot (X-XII) where students got an opportunity to create unique Robotic designs.

Class XII Farewell
To bid adieu to the outgoing Class XII students, a Farewell Dance Party and lunch was organised on January 30, 2014. It was a nostalgic time for students who were emotionally charged while saying good bye and good luck to their friends.

Investiture of OBBA
The investiture ceremony for Old Bal Bharatian Association was organised on January 30, 2014. The office bearers of OBBA from outgoing Class XII were invested with portfolios and encouraged to keep the umbilical chord with alma mater alive.

Energy Conservation Day was celebrated on January 22, 2014. Children participated in painting competition and learnt about the importance of conservation of energy and alternative sources of energy.

In an endeavour to weave the magic of words, the ITC Spell Bee 2014 was organised on 29 January, 2014, to sharpen the acumen for spellings.

Teach India
The Teach is an initiative which promotes employability through Spoken English. Volunteers were trained for student centered classroom. That has high Student Talking Time (STT) and lower Teacher Talking Time (TTT). Teaching is done with the help of various techniques such as miming, regalia, flashcards, audio help, monolingual dictionary, drilling and elicitation.

Queen's Baton Relay Games
Our school Band was chosen to lead the contingent of participating Nations at the Queens Baton Relay Games organised British council to mark the arrival Queen’s Baton in India for Common Wealth Games. Besides the sporting events, students participated in collage competition and put a rich spectacle of cultural performances depicting global diversity.

17th Annual Day
17th Annual Day was illuminated by the gracious presence of Mr Ajay Jadeja, the renowned Cricketer, Shri Sandeep Goel, IPS, Jt Commissioner of Delhi Police and Padma Shri Dr Ashok Seth, Chairman Fortis Escorts Heart Institute.
The exhibition, ‘Women of substance’ chronicled the journey of successful women of the world.
The ‘Mellifluous Sonora’- orchestrated by the school ensemble was followed by ‘Ambrosial Strain’. The ballet ‘Elixir of Life’, beautifully captured the theme ‘Save Girl Child’. ‘Skip-a-Beat’, and the impressive visual presentation garnered well deserved applause from the audience.

Model Inclusive Commonwealth Games
The XXth edition of the Commonwealth Games is scheduled to be held in Glasgow, Scotland in 2014. To mark the occasion of arrival of Queen's Baton relay in India, the British Council, in association with Special Olympics Bharat organised a sporting extravaganza at Chhatrasal Stadium on October 11, 2013 in which schools from all over Delhi representing 71 countries participated. Our school Band was chosen to lead the contingent of participating Nations at the Model Inclusive Commonwealth Games. Besides the sporting events, students participated in collage competition and put up a rich spectacle of cultural performances depicting global diversity.

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY
Birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand was celebrated as National Sports Day on 29th August, 2014. Students took a pledge of upholding the spirit of sportsmanship for promotion of sports and fair play. They participated in Flat race, skating, volleyball, rope skipping, football and taekwondo.

TEACHERS APPRECIATION DAY
Teachers Appreciation Day was celebrated on September 6, 2014. The School Principal congratulated the teachers for doing a commendable job and reiterated the pivotal role played by teachers in moulding a child’s life, in touching a child’s heart and soul with the alchemy of care and concern. The teachers were felicitated for completing five years of exemplary service to the institution by members of the P.T.A.

The school wore a festive look and offered a pulsating DJ, attractive games stalls, information displays stalls, a bonanza of appetizing delicacies, fun rides, and a wide array of entertainment opportunities on a warm winter afternoon.

Investiture Ceremony
During Investiture Ceremony held on 14th August, 2014 newly appointed members of prefectorial Board pledged to undertake their responsibilities with dedication and set new benchmark in service.
Ms. Mariane Tudor Craig and Ms. Liza Maria Powell from British Council were the Guests of Honour who bestowed badges of honour on office bearers.

MOCK EVACUATION DRILL – DISASTER PREPAREDNESS
A fire drill was conducted in association with local fire department to make students aware about the protocol to be followed in case of a fire break out.
A workshop was held for the students to deliberate upon major possible causes behind a fire breakout. This was followed by an instant quiz and question answer session for ensuring proper understanding amongst the students. Demonstrations regarding fire, precautions, safety, dos and don’ts. Duties and roles of volunteers, who were supposed to act as floor wardens, rescue team, fire extinguish team and first aid team during the Mock Evacuation Drill.

TEACHERS’ DAY
Teachers’ Day is that momentous event where students engage in unbridled capacity to shower their love, adoration and respect on their teachers. The day was power packed with sensational performances by the students. With respect and reverence, the students had the teachers moving on to foot tapping dance they presented.  The students’ programme paved way to reliving a momentous journey – a success saga of prominent accomplishments crafted with subtlety, care and love by the School Principal.

SPIC MACAY 
Lecture cum demonstration on Odissi dance was organised on 18th September, 2014 by Spic Macay. Smt. Geeta Mahalik famous Odissi exponent explained the nuances and the intricacies of Odissi dance and gave an enthralling performance.

FAREWELL CEREMONY 
During Farewell Ceremony students of class XII scripted fond memories of their rendezvous with the Alma maître on a ‘Memory Tree’. The cultural bonanza comprised of a short film, capturing the beautiful moments with friends and an exuberant dance performance. The day culminated with sumptuous lunch and release of yearbook to mark the end of school year.

MODEL UNITED NATIONS 
Fourth Model United Nations Conference was organised on 20th January, 2015. It saw participation of 250 delegates representing 91 countries. They actively deliberated on several global issues in UN committees. Delegates explored democratic manner of conflict resolution in their respective committee.
The Committees were International Labour Organization, League of Arab States, Interpol, Commonwealth of Nations, UNICEF, Commission of Narcotic Drugs.
