SCHOOL FUNCTIONS & PROGRAMMES

  • SHUBHASHISH DIWAS The school celebrated Shubhashish Diwas on 5 February, 2010. The programme was organized by the students of class IX to wish good luck to the students of class X for their successful venture into the CBSE board examination.
    The function began with Hawan and Arti, followed by cultural programme. Thereafter, every student of class X was blessed by the Principal with hand-made cards, flowers and a memento which bore the image of the school building and an exclusive title.
    The function ended with a lavish lunch and opulent blessings.
  • PROJECT PRESENTATION Project presentations on themes such as Spring, Dream World and Holi were organized by Pre-School and Pre-Primary on February 20, 24, 25 and 26, 2010 respectively. Children dressed up as fairies, dolls, flowers and butterflies and presented mesmerizing items.
  • ORIENTATION DAY:The school celebrated ‘Orientation Day’ on March 28, 2010 for the new parents of Pre-School. It was a unique endeavour to invigorate the parents of the young toddlers to embark on a fruitful journey of positive parenting and touching some beautiful lives. The session began on the right note as the budding dansueses of our school presented an ethereal dance.
    The special guest for the occasion was Dr Aruna Broota, a leading clinical psychologist, an author, a corporate trainer and a recipient of numerous National and International awards. Dr Broota advised the parents to learn time management as it is quintessential to positive parenting.
    The session was an eye-opener which removed many cobwebs and gave perspective clarity to the enthusiastic parents and staff members alike.
  • GRADUATION DAY:The school celebrated ‘Graduation Day’ on March 29, 2010 to mark the progression of tiny tots from Montessori to the Primary Department of the school.
    The children cherished the sweet memories, they shared with their loving teachers and expressed their affection and gratitude by presenting a foot tapping western dance leaving everyone grooving and rocking to its amazing rhythm.
    The young children received their graduation trophies from the Principal, who wished best of luck to all of them.
  • CULTURAL EVENING: Bal Bharati Public School,Dwarka kept the spirit of bonhomie,camaraderie and merry making live and kicking by hosting its much awaited Cultural Evening on April 3,2010.
    The evening which witnessed roaring participation from the teacher community and the parent community fosters bonds on an informal note. The evening which was enlivened with the rhythic beats of the dandiya was a class apart as the performing artist of the day Ms Renuka charmed everyone into shaking a leg.
    The irrepressible charm of peppy music exhalted one and all to a different realm of ecstasy. The evening was further embellished with interesting competitions and prizes much as 'The Best Dancer of the Day'. 'The Best Dressed Couple' and so on.
    Merry making and gaiety continued late onto the night. Delicious rounds of feisty food further stoked the happy vibes. Bal BHarati Public School,Dwarka truly believes in 'Work while you work and play while you play'.
  • ANNUAL EXTRAVAGANZA 2009:The school celebrated its 12th Annual Day on November 8, 2009. The programme was embellished by the presence of Prof. Shyam Menon, Vice Chancellor, Dr B R Ambedkar University, Delhi; Ms Aarti Mehra, former Mayor of Delhi and Ms Maria Mathai, Director, Canadian Education Centre and Principals from distinguished schools of Delhi. The 2500 strong orchestra, the enigmatic junior ballet ‘Vision with a Mission’, the subtle but powerfully rendered senior ballet ‘Gyan Ganga’ were all show stealers. The exhibition ‘Windows to the World’ was a class apart and enthused crowds
  • CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL:Santa indeed dashed to the school, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces on the Christmas Carnival. Innovative games like Break the Berlin Wall, Big Ben Time, Find Osama, Fortune Stockings, Egyptian Pyramid, Pocket the Kangaroo, Cross the Wall of China, Around the World, Makeup the Snow Man, etc. added fun to the mammoth event. The flavour of Christmas was indeed kept alive with carol singing in the back drop
    The Bal Bharati Haat which put on display and sale the artifacts prepared lovingly by the students themselves was a sure hit, the proceeds of which went a long way in bringing smiles on the faces of our less privileged counterparts
  • DHOOM 2009:Dhoom, a mega talent, mega event show is a melting pot of activities. The exquisite show was remodelled into a virtual treasure trove as the eclectic mélange of activities from dances to creatively inclined art and craft competitions to the unique endeavour ‘Super Chef’ competition saw massive participation
    ‘Super Chef’ contest in Dhoom this year was a novel idea where mothers were invited with their children to assemble a wholesome meal. The mega event witnessed record breaking participation from the enthusiastic students
  • SPIC MACAY:Spic Macay was organized on December 5, 2009. The performing artist of the day was Kathak Dance exponent, Pandit Ram Mohan Maharaj, recipient of several prestigious awards. The programme was well attended by the members of the PTA, teachers and students from prestigious schools across the capital
  • WORLD DANCE DAY :The school celebrated World Dance Day on April 29, 2010. Pandit Deepak Maharaj, the shining star of Kathak dance, a very fine and sensitive dancer, left everyone spellbound by his expressive and dynamic performance. On this day the school made a conscious effort to promote our rich cultural tapestry amongst the students in order to facilitate an awareness of their deeper and subtler values
  • SUMMER CAMP :The school opened its doors for students to engage in activities for physical development in the sports camp organized from May 17 to June 2, 2010. As many as 303 students honed their skills in various disciplines such as Table-Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball, Cricket, Basketball, Football, Skating and Western Dane. Their physical fitness and stamina was put to a challenge when they were taught master-strokes by the specialized coaches. Various kinds of western dances such as hip-hop, salsa were also taught
