During Fun camp the children actively engaged themselves in puppet show, magic show, movie time, tattoo making, fun-rides. They indulged lip-smacking food and took home goody-bag full of treasures.

World Culture Festival 2016 NEW DELHI
Methil Devika, renowned Bharathnatyam, Kuchipudi and Mohiniyattam dancer trained 130 students for Mohiniattam presentation scheduled for March 11, 2016 at World Cultural Festival which will see participation of 35000 dancers from 35 countries.

Under Microsoft Create To Inspire School Programme “Design for environment’’ activity was conducted where students researched how various products and raw materials are procured, used and efficiently disposed. After analyzing all pros and cons, they designed eco-friendly products.

My Health is in My Hands
The school initiated a Health Education Program titled MHMH (My Health is in My Hands) on February 8,2016 where children were enrolled as Health Monitors, who maintained a record of their daily food intake and participated in awareness rally and lunch box audit. Children won T-shirts sponsored by Mother dairy for participating in painting competition and a quiz session.

Steer to Safety- Road Safety Campaign
Children made placards on road safety and took out the rally on February 4,2016 to share their concern about road safety and rules. During “Gatiman ki Pathshala” conducted by Radius Event Pvt. Ltd in collaboration with Maruti Suzuki, students participated in an interesting quiz related to road safety rules to increase their awareness.

Walk For Life
Interact club members participated in Walk for Life organized by Rotary International. The walk was flagged off by Mrs Sangeeta Jaitley, wife of Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium on January 31, 2016. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Congress politician Priya Dutt motivated the participants to walk and show solidarity with cancer patients.

A short skit highlighting the Do’s and Don'ts of road safety were illustrated during the assembly. Display boards brought alive the advantages of obeying simple road safety rules.

School volunteers were seen on road to monitor the implementation of Odd-Even Car Day scheme launched by Delhi Govt. They displayed slogans and encouraged people to voluntarily participate to bring down the level of pollution.

Old Bal Bharatians Association (OBBA) organized a reunion of the school alumni ‘Rittorno’ to strengthen the connection of alumni with their alma mater. A rocking dance party and sumptuous food enlivened the warm sunny day.

Nikwan Dance Fest
The school hosted Nikwan-Inter School Dance Fest which showcased choreography for a cause. International dance performances mesmerized the audience and received rave reviews from Judges. Indraprastha International School, Dwarka won the rolling trophy for the event.

Youth Parliament
The school hosted 1st Youth Parliament in which 90 amateur Parliamentarians debated on the issue of Reservations in Government jobs and proposed amendments to provide ‘equity and access' for development for all sections of society. The respect for the Parliamentary procedures and debating skills of participants were appreciated by Mentor, Mr B B Tayal, Retd. Pol. Science Professor from SRCC. Newsletter Sansad was released to commemorate the launch of 1st Youth Parliament.

Christmas Truce of 1914
Christmas Truce of 1914 commemorates the event when opposing armies involved in World War played Football on the English German border and forgot political differences. Students analysed history through sources such as historical newspaper extracts, novels, handwritten diaries, photographs etc; for interpretation and reconstruction of historical event.

Interschool Rope Skipping Tournament
The School hosted first Inter-School Rope Skipping Tournament in which 32 schools participated. It was an attempt to promote fitness and sports among the youngsters and make them dexterous. Students demonstrated skill of skipping in various individual and team events.
The Guests of Honour Mr Satpal Singh, President, School Games Federation of India; Chief Guest Mr Nirdesh Sharma, Secretary General, Rope Skipping Federation of India and Ms Suman Shaukeen, renowned Kabaddi Player motivated the sports enthusiasts by inspiring anecdotes. The esteemed guests appreciated the vision and endeavour of the school.

The school hosted Intra-School Youth Parliament on 19 November 2015. The event witnessed simulated Rajya Sabha discussing the agenda “Amendment to the Article 16 to Reserve Promotions in Government Jobs”. SEEDLING FEST -2015
“Little children are a treasure,

The concern their mentors show”.
It is rightly said that childhood is a beautiful garden with all the brighter shades of life. To celebrate the colours of childhood, an annual extravaganza-‘Seedling Fest-2015’ was hosted by Bal Bharati Public School, Dwarka, on October 06, 2015. The event was a rich mosaic studded with various interesting competitions that witnessed massive participation. A myriad of competitions set the school apart with their vibrance and freshness of ideas. The following competitions proved to be an excellent platform to showcase innovation and creativity at its best.
CHIRPING BIRDS - (English Rhyme Recitation competition)
Chirping birdies revelled in the rhythmic wonders of rhymes as they participated enthusiastically. The joy of participation reflected on their bubbly faces as they were enthused in the rollicking fun of recitation displaying eloquent reciting skills.
RHYTHMIC DELIGHT (Rhyme Dramatization)
The event witnessed a remarkably competent engagement of talented performers. A variety of distinctive and interesting rhymes had flown in to showcase innovative styles to dramatize. The bright hues of children’s costumes and their sparkling performances were appreciated by one and all.
JUGGLE THE JINGLE
The tinkling quality of jingles made their singing and enacting an exercise full of fun and frolic. An exquisite selection of self-composed and creative jingles were presented by the participating schools. The competition brought on amiable ambience and the judges retorted with their applause.
DRESS ME UP
To provide a platform for the budding artists to showcase their indomitable talent, ‘Dress me up’ – a fancy dress competition was organized. The students from each school were adorned with innovative and colourful costumes.

ANTARDHWANI 2015
The School hosted first Interschool music fest Antardhwani that presented a confluence of symphonies during Inter School group song competition ‘Crescendo’. Young maestros composed their lyrics, tunes and rhythms during Battle of Bands. The event was a mellifluous saga, rich in rhythm and lyrics.

To protect our little ones from the scorching heat and to develop the habit of wearing sunglasses, an exciting and stylish field activity ‘Fun with sunglasses’ race was organized. Our sports stars dressed up in sparkling white dresses with trendy sunglasses looked adorable on the tracks.

SUMMER CAMP
Summer coaching camp was organised from 18 to 30 May, 2015 in association with PTA. Students were coached and trained in Badminton, Cricket, Skating, Football, Lawn Tennis and Rope Skipping under expert tutelage. Participants were given certificates of appreciation for active involvement.

DHOOM 2015
Dhoom-a mega talent hunt was organised from May 1 to 8, 2015. A slew of competitions in varied fields, like art and craft; skipping; dramatics; elocution; mathematics; sports; dance and music, provided an unparalleled platform to chisel talent of Bal Bharatians. The students participated in Dhoom with great fervour and exhibited an exquisite melange of creativity. The parents too felt at home while participating along with their children in popular events like ‘Super chef’ and ‘Cute kids’. The jury applauded the multitalented students and the school for cultivating the niche as a holy ground that breeds excellence.

TECH QUEST 2016
5th Interschool TechQuest was organized on 1 September 2016 to promote technology and make youngsters wary of its advantages and disadvantages.
The event comprised of 4 competitions namely- Lights! Camera! Action!, Mobile App Designing ; Game Designing and Robotics. 15 schools vide for top honours while experts judged the competitions. The event was a great success.

BBPS MUN 2015
Inter School Model United Nation was organized on 30 April 2015 wherein 16 prestigious schools participated eagerly. The endeavour chiselled public speaking, critical thinking, leadership abilities and promoted research among students. It was a simulation of United Nations and the students learnt about international relations and conflict resolutions. The event delved deep into the operations of four committees- IAEA, CND, CON and LOAS of UN. Chief Guest Mr. Dhirendra Bhatnagar, Secretary CUCAI encouraged the participants with his invigorating speech. Trophies and certificates were awarded to the winners. The event was a great success.

ORIENTATION DAY
‘A journey of a thousand miles begins with a small step’. The school celebrated the Orientation Day with great enthusiasm to invigorate the parents of our adorable new members. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by the welcome address by the Principal. The spectacular Invocation Dances ‘Trinetra’ and ‘Mangalacharan’ left the audience spellbound. The guests for the occasion conducted an interactive session which indeed proved to be quite enriching & informative.

MONTESSORI GRADUATION DAY
"Life unfolds a new chapter with each new step. We harness learning, accumulate experience at every stage and graduate to the next level".
The sparkling and spirited life in Montessori Department was showcased when Graduation Day was celebrated with grandeur extraordinaire. The programme began with the release of balloons as a mark of Bal Bharatians soaring high followed by invocation dance- My Friend Ganesha. A melange of impeccable dance performances by our little stars left the audience spellbound. Our children wove magic with their melodious voice when they sung Graduation Day song. In a blaze of glitz and glory, the programme ended with Grand Finale.

MOCK EVACUATION DRILL
For disaster preparedness, a mock evacuation drill was conducted on February 18, 2015. There was a live demonstration of the use of the fire extinguishers and mitigation measures by Delhi Fire Service Department. The students were given an opportunity to handle the fire extinguishers in case of any emergency. All classes from I to XI along with the entire staff took part in the evacuation drill.

CHINESE DELEGATION
On February 09, 2015, a delegation of 11 teachers and 17 students from Fengtai Children’s Art School, China visited the school for cultural exchange programme. The visit marked cultural immersion through enchanting performing and aesthetic arts. The auspicious Ganpati Dance and invigorating folk dances and music performances enraptured the Chinese companions. The guests also displayed oriental gyrations and soulful tunes to exalt the senses. Though diverse in nature, we felt a unique bond that united us.

MEGA SI-DONYI FESTIVAL
Our Music teachers Mr Saptarishi Mondal, Mr Arvind Kr. Pandey and Mr Jung Bdr Gurung, were invited by Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh to perform in Mega Si-Donyi Music Festival on January 5, 2015 at Daporijo, Arunachal Pradesh. The event aimed at promotion of rich cultural heritage of north eastern states of India.

In an effort to foster a sense of love and conservation for aquatic life, Costume Parade was organized on January 29, 2015 where children came dressed up as aquatic animal and enjoyed ‘Aqua’ activities and their favourite movie Finding Nemo.

ALL-INDIA INTER-UNIT SPORTS MEET
The School hosted the Eighth All India Inter-Unit Bal Bharati Sports Meet 2014 from Oct 29 to 31, 2014, which brought together students from 18 branches across the country. An endeavour of CES Sports Council, the meet was graced by L R Channa, President, Child Education Society and Chairman, Sports Council, luminaries from the Board of Management and principals from all units.

The legacy of Interact Club was bequeathed by the new Board of Members during the Investiture Ceremony held on November 20, 2015. Mr Anil Kakar, Renowned Rotarian; Mr Himanshu Chandoke, Secretary & Activities In-charge, The Rotary Club of Delhi Janak and Rotarian Dr Rekha Vaish pinned the members with badges while the young Interactors took oath zealously. Rishabh Munjal, the outgoing Secretary, proposed the Vote of Thanks.

Teachers’ Day
Bal Bharati fraternity celebrated Teachers’ Day with great fervor and fun. A special assembly, venerating teachers, impressed one and all. The cultural programme hosted by the PTA witnessed the mentors donning creative caps and enjoying every moment with dancing, singing and fun games. Souvenirs were presented to teachers who had completed five years of valuable service to the institution. The staff was lovingly treated with a movie show and lunch on September 5, 2016.

International Robotronics Challenge (IRC) 2015
The school hosted International Robotronics Challenge 2015 in collaboration with Building Blocks Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd. on 27 November 2015 for the fourth consecutive year. 24 prestigious schools across Delhi NCR participated in the mega event that aimed at immersing students in the world of science and technology. 282 participants collaborated with each other in 73 teams at Senior, Middle and Junior level to solve their respective problem statements using indigenous robots.
The event was an actualisation of the school’s mission of developing problem solving skills and concept building in Science, Mathematics and Technology to prepare the students for the challenges of the modern world.

Class XII Farewell
Hasta la Vista – farewell to class XII was celebrated on January 06, 2016. An event, lovingly hosted by class XI, saw stunningly dressed up young boys and girls ready to soak in pleasures of a day especially crafted for them. The welcome address by the head girl, citation ceremony, inauguration dance, ramp walk, DJ and sumptuous lunch pampered well our board aspirants. The new members of Old Bal Bharatian Association (OBBA) were felicitated. The school wished the outgoing batch success and gaity in their future pursuits.

The investiture ceremony for Old Bal Bharatian Association was organised on January 30, 2014. The office bearers of OBBA from outgoing Class XII were invested with portfolios and encouraged to keep the umbilical chord with alma mater alive.

Teach India
The Teach is an initiative which promotes employability through Spoken English. Volunteers were trained for student centered classroom. That has high Student Talking Time (STT) and lower Teacher Talking Time (TTT). Teaching is done with the help of various techniques such as miming, regalia, flashcards, audio help, monolingual dictionary, drilling and elicitation.

Queen's Baton Relay Games
Our school Band was chosen to lead the contingent of participating Nations at the Queens Baton Relay Games organised British council to mark the arrival Queen’s Baton in India for Common Wealth Games. Besides the sporting events, students participated in collage competition and put a rich spectacle of cultural performances depicting global diversity.

17th Annual Day
17th Annual Day was illuminated by the gracious presence of Mr Ajay Jadeja, the renowned Cricketer, Shri Sandeep Goel, IPS, Jt Commissioner of Delhi Police and Padma Shri Dr Ashok Seth, Chairman Fortis Escorts Heart Institute.
The exhibition, ‘Women of substance’ chronicled the journey of successful women of the world.
The ‘Mellifluous Sonora’- orchestrated by the school ensemble was followed by ‘Ambrosial Strain’. The ballet ‘Elixir of Life’, beautifully captured the theme ‘Save Girl Child’. ‘Skip-a-Beat’, and the impressive visual presentation garnered well deserved applause from the audience.

Winter Carnival
Winter Carnival- the annual extravaganza was celebrated with all possible shades of liveliness and enthusiasm. The mega event brought Members of Management, families and friends of staff and students together to unravel in the joys of life. The school transformed into a colourful and lively carnival ground catering the guest with delicacies, joy rides, fun games, raffle, band performances, DJ and shopping spree. The carnival indeed was a huge success.

Investiture Ceremony
The School joined in the nation in celebrating Independence Day. The day was befitting chosen to celebrate Investiture Day as well. School Prefectorial Board was pinned with badges followed by Oath Ceremony. The Chief Guest, Prof. Aveenash, I.P. University presided over the function. Cultural performances and address by the Principal were lauded by everyone.

MOCK EVACUATION DRILL – DISASTER PREPAREDNESS
A fire drill was conducted in association with local fire department to make students aware about the protocol to be followed in case of a fire break out.
A workshop was held for the students to deliberate upon major possible causes behind a fire breakout. This was followed by an instant quiz and question answer session for ensuring proper understanding amongst the students. Demonstrations regarding fire, precautions, safety, dos and don’ts. Duties and roles of volunteers, who were supposed to act as floor wardens, rescue team, fire extinguish team and first aid team during the Mock Evacuation Drill.

TEACHERS’ DAY
For Teachers’ Day, students came to the front stage to shower their reverence and affection on their mentors. The teachers were entertained and rejuvenated with spectacular dance and music performances. The school organised for a movie show and hosted lunch for Bal Bharati Dwarka parivar.

SPIC MACAY 
The school hosted Spic Macay on November 23, 2015 to let the young impressionable minds experience the inspiration and mysticism embodied in Indian cultural heritage.
Kathak exponent Shovana Narayan and her troupe regaled the young audiences with remarkable performances. The interaction session with the performers enlightened the students about the nuances of Kathak and the divinity the dance form carries. The programme was concluded with vote of thanks and a motivational speech by the School Principal.

FAREWELL CEREMONY 
During Farewell Ceremony students of class XII scripted fond memories of their rendezvous with the Alma maître on a ‘Memory Tree’. The cultural bonanza comprised of a short film, capturing the beautiful moments with friends and an exuberant dance performance. The day culminated with sumptuous lunch and release of yearbook to mark the end of school year.

MODEL UNITED NATIONS 
Fourth Model United Nations Conference was organised on 20th January, 2015. It saw participation of 250 delegates representing 91 countries. They actively deliberated on several global issues in UN committees. Delegates explored democratic manner of conflict resolution in their respective committee.
The Committees were International Labour Organization, League of Arab States, Interpol, Commonwealth of Nations, UNICEF, Commission of Narcotic Drugs.
